When to Sow Old Spice Mixed Sweet Pea Seeds

September to April

Where to Sow

If sowing sweet peas in April or September, sow into the flowering site, 2cm deep. Later sowings can be made in pots, 5 seeds in each. October, November and March sowings should be kept in a cold frame. January sowings in should be kept in a heated glasshouse.

What to do Next

Harden off glasshouse raised seedlings during March before planting out in April. Plant out pot grown seedlings in April, in to the flowering site at 15cm (6″) spacings. Thin direct sown seedlings to 10cm (4″) apart. Pick flowers regularly to encourage new growth.
